Woohoo today and yesterday was super tiring but fun.
Hahaha, I didn't finish the Monday post. Let me do a small summary. Um so after lunch we watched the scary video, which was darn lame, and Abii clutched my hand like siao. It was about this weird retarded choir girl called Chloe who got sucked into a haunted mirror (the one at the chopin room). LOL.
Then we had to find her body parts all over St Nicks because she was chopped up. Abii and I really freaked out at the station where we had to go into the Drama Studio blindfolded because we could hear eerie baby wails from outside door. Actually we were supposed to go one by one, but we begged like hell and both of us were really freaking out. Right Abii?
In the end, all that there was in the Drama studio was stacked up chairs everywhere, and a stupid radio. Freak us out for nothing lah. I thought it would be as bad as the haunted house in Fiesta. Hahahahaha. Then I bet Louisa and Ling Jing were disgusted by our actions. But they were still very nice. HAHA
Okay, so yesterday and today we had Choral Workshop! Anderson, Fairfield, Nanyang and Tanjong Katong came to our school! Ms Lim (our really pro choir conductorXD) planned everything lah. :D Woohoo it was really tiring. She invited clinicians from like everywhere. You know, pro people in singing and conducting. So they could train us.
STUFF ABOUT YESTERDAY:
Yesterday and today my first time singing SATB! (Sopranos, altos, tenors, bass) Apparently, Groups A and B (I was in B) had guys, Group C and D was SSAA (soprano 1s, soprano 2s, alto 1, alto 2). We thought it was the other way round T_T so we were really shocked. Then after we got sorted into our groups properly, Anderson girls went with either Nanyang or TK, and the Fairfield girls went with either Nanyang or TK too, I can't remember, and the ST NICKS GIRLS WENT WITH THE FAIRFIELD AND ANDERSON GUYS for the clinician training thing.
We were like "WTH!?" because how come we're so "special" huh!? Why only us with guys!? Whaaaaaaaaa! And Miss Lim was like, "HAHA! I know you're really happy to be with guys!!!" And we're all like "Nooooooo" and really sad.
So we all trooped off to the MPR. Around the doorway this guy tapped Jing's shoulder and went "Is there a boy's toilet here?" And Jing answered, "Um, yeah, somewhere." LOL. The clinicians had to change shifts to teach each separate group. The first clinician we had was this really SUPER PRO GUY who could sing super SUPER low and SUPER HIGH! O_o He could sing Soprano as well! So freaky. And pro.
But he told us that no same gender could stand beside each other. So the guys had to slot in with the girls. =.= I was standing between these two super tall guys, who later moved back because a lot of guys were slowly inching away from the girls too. Hah! So they created a new row.
Then there was this part of the training where we had to push against a partner's hands and sing at the same time. Like wrestling-singing. Lol, then the clinician said we had to partner the people beside us (aka the guys). Luckily the guys beside me and Fabio already moved back so we could partner each other! The girls slunk off to other girls for partners. I guess the clinician didn't really mind, ahahaahah! But Louisa (our student conductor) did the 'wrestling-singing' with a guy. She looked darn embarrassed. Lol.
Then um we went to the Albeniz room. If that's how you spell it. Only the st nicks girls, thankfully. The guys were supposed to stay in the MPR but some of them followed us, farnieness. We learnt breathing from the clinician there! She was very pro too. Sang very well. O_o and she said our sound was really good! (:
Okay, yupps, then um I forgot what we did. I think we went to practise our NEW song in our Group B thing. The SATB. Hee. Ours was "O, No John". The scores Miss Lim passed out to us were original, so each copy was 7 dollars. Expensiveness abound. Yupp yupp. Then we learnt it and blah. Or maybe that was after lunch. I can't remember.
But I REMEMBER during lunch guys were rushing around looking for toilets. We passed by around 2 boy toilets and snorted whenever we did, because the toilets were so obvious. :D Lunch I ate curry chicken rice! But as usual couldn't finish. I always can't finish stuff. (:
Then we practised, blah. Then we finally combined with the tenors and bass. THE SOPS ROCKED! We didn't get scolded at all, olehhhhhhhh! (: But the tenors and bass kind of um. Shall not say. But Miss Lim was darn pissed and she said we would probably be the worst group "tomorrow" (which is today). T_T the sopranos rock! HAHA!
Okay then after practising there was tea. I didn't finish my bee hoon of course. Then we practised some more, and went home. Hooray!
TODAY:
Today we practise practise with this conductor who was really dramatic and emphatic. Lol. He was conducting our "O, No John". Oh yeah, by the way our song's about this guy called John who begs this girl throughout the song to marry him, and the girl goes "Ohhhhhh, nooo John, no John, no-o John, NOOOOO". O_o hahahahaa.
Oh yah and we were super sociable! Almost all the girls (including the TK and Nanyang) sat in a circle and played 007. Lame right? But so cool lorh. :D And there was this super short guy, even shorter than me, from Fairfield! O.o hahahahaha. I was relieved there're guys shorter than I am. After that, we had to perform for everyone. I mean, all the four groups had to perform.
The Brazilian song was super nice lah! And our O, No John sounded kinda weird. O_o But whatever, at least it was over!
Lunch was weird. So was tea. I didn't finish both, so it doesn't matter! Now time for the FUNNY STUFF TODAY!
Funny stuff 1) There was this really extra guy from Fairfield. When our enthu conductor (the dramatic one) mentioned that he was from some place starting with B [[i forgot lahh]], Extra Guy went, "Is that near Java?"
Conductor said, "Yeah! You went there before?"
Extra guy says happily, "No! My maid's from there!"
Everyone started laughing because that's like an insult in disguise, if you read it through. Lol.
Funny stuff 2) Jing said there was this guy who looked angmoh from Anderson. He is shuai lah. Jing also say... Jiayi also saw him and say he not bad. I mean, he was the only guy we could stand looking at in the bass and tenors lah! All the rest was like, "ew, disgusting" (as quoted from jing. (:)
Okay, so we were looking around for the ang moh guy, who Jing said was behind us. So she glanced behind us and started laughing. Mama went "WHERE? WHERE!?" and once she turned around, she burst into laughter too. So I turned around, and guess what I saw.
I saw a guy balancing a peachtea/lycheetea/lemontea waterbottle with his mouth, not holding it, just sucking onto it so the bottle sort of hung in the air. Can you imagine how stupid that looked!? The more funny thing was that he was in front of the ang moh guy, thus blocking him. So funny lah. I laughed so hard I fell off the bench and had a really bad stomachache. Everyone else didn't see, so sad.
I think Jiayi saw, can't remember. Or was it Ler Yee?! Anyway it was so super dumb, I can't stop laughing if I think of it.
Funny stuff 3) Umm Hazel thought some guy called Wesley is cute. Then we looked around and instead saw this blackshirt guy, who is not very pretty and not very skinny. You get what I mean right? So we all started snorting and laughing.
Funny stuff 4) In order to convince Jing (who's from Texas) that I'm from India, I revealed an enormous secret... MY MUM'S THE SULTAN OF INDIA!!!!11111111111 AMAZING, YES!?
Funny stuff 5) According to Jing, there was this guy who was peering into his cup when he slapped the bottom of it. It was filled with ice. The result was the ice sprayed into his face. I think if I saw it I would have laughed until I fell off the bench (again). HAHAHAHA.
Okay, anyway, STNICHOLAS WAS THE BEST TOGETHER WITH FAIRFIELD FOR OUR SCHOOL PERFORMANCES! We had to split from our Group A, B, C, D and go back to our normal school choir. (: yay HOORAY FOR FAIRFIELD AND US. (: HAPPINESS!!
And I can sing PART OF THE TENOR PART FOR O, NO JOHN! Our song, ya know. Omg it's super low but Mama taught me the tune and I CAN SING IT! I think everyone was disgusted with my lowwwwww voice. SO COOL LAH! (:
I am obsessed with learning the tenor part. HAH! But I can't reach the low D, how sad. But we can't learn it no more because we had to return the scores. COOKIES, YOU CAN'T HEAR MY TENOR SINGING NO MORE! T_T
Right, um, I think that's a good thing.
Okay, then after that I wrote Ler Yee's and Jiayi's Jap names for them and we played around with accents! So funny. (: At that time Tsang and Abii were gone looking for Tsang's score, which she lost. Luckily it was found in the end! [[it was found near the toilet. O_OOOO]] Wooooooo! Otherwise Tsang would have to pay 7 dollars. O_O I bet she was super relieved.
Well, she was so relieved she laughed at her own jokes, thus disgusting Jing and I. She waited with us after school, ya see. O_o stupid Grace.
Oh yeah, Ying Tong was super super sick today! MUST GET BETTER OKAY!? I was so freakeddddd... T_T Next time when you don't feel well don't come schooool! AHHHHH!
Lalalala. Then in the car with Jing I was showing her my 101 expressions. Happy, sad, scrunched up face, retarded face, blabla. (: Smart yeah?
heeheheheheheheehe choir workshop is fun! singing SATB is kinda weird though. O_o hahahahaa. Because the tenors and bass sound so much more different. Ah well. Never mind, it was a good experience man. Except for the retarded parts. (:
