ROUGH INTRO:

Edward and Alphonse (the armour guy) ARE BROTHERS, the Elric brothers (their surname is ELRIC WOO). They tried to resurrect their mother using ALCHEMY (full metal ALCHEMIST GET IT), but alchemy works on the basis of EQUAL EXCHANGE, for example, they cannot change a 1kg lump of stone into a 10000 kg figurine or sth. (they can change stuff into stuff, awesomeness).

Yeah but because it was HUMAN TRANSMUTATION, Alphonse's BODY DISINTERGRATED and HE DIED and EDWARD LOST HIS LEG. (and guess what they brought back instead of their mother; some disgusting bug-eyed freaky monster mutant thing who looking nauseating so i skipped that part while watching the anime)

SO IN ORDER to let ALPHONSE LIVE, Edward exchanged his arm for Alphonse's soul and fused his soul with the nearest thing he could find; the metal armour suit. Yep. So now Edward and Alphonse are searching for the Philosopher's Stone to get back their original bodies.

ACTION BABEH ACTION! IT HAS A REALLY DAMN FREAKING WONDERFUL PLOT and Edward's such a likeable guy cause he's hilariously funny. The mangaka of the manga has a serious sense of humour babeh, love him :D and Alphonse is cute. (alphonse is younger than edward by 1 year)
