DAMN THOSE EMCEES. SERIOUSLY.
Yesterday was Jubilate 3. And we had PLANNED TO DO AN EXTRA SONG, which is SUPER SUPER NICE AND FUN TO DO. Because, ya know, it wasn't in the booklet, but we wanted to surprise the audience.
And Tjak was one of the songs which earned us points for Czech competition.
So, there we were, getting into our formation for Tjak, after our first two songs. Because people were screaming "ENCORE!" and when they did that, we were supposed to do our extra piece, to surprise the audience.
Suddenly, the wonderful Vivian (one of the emcees) went, "AND NOW FOR THE FINALE! JUBILATE DEO! (some crap one part song which sucks)" And there we were, standing there like goons, going, "HUH!?"
The music began playing and we had NO IDEA WHATSOEVER what to do. We were just standing there, then we quickly began to sing, still in our Tjak formation. Hurriedly, we rushed back to the tiers, feeling really hurt and cheated. WE HAD PLANNED TO DO TJAK! Why did they FREAKING CANCEL IT!? And the emcees should HAVE AT LEAST HINTED TO US that they CANCELLED OUR ENCORE.
We looked so stupid, seriously. Then all the other performers piled on stage, for the finale, then the song ended, and we finished. Everyone stood to go, and all of us were SO DAMN IRRITATED. AND PISSED. How could they FREAKING DO THIS TO US!? HOW COULD THEY CANCEL OUR ENCORE, WITHOUT TELLING US!? Tjak means a whole lot to us, yet they didn't BOTHER ABOUT OUR FEELINGS. It was the sec 4's LAST PERFORMANCE, and they cancelled our most unique and fun song, TJAK. Tjak is SERIOUSLY fun to do, and LOOK WHAT THEY FREAKING DID.
Everyone was so angry and hurt. People cried, okay. Our last chance to perform Tjak and they had to ruin it. Ruin everything. Ruin our performance. Damn those freaking emcees. Why did they have to do this to us!? Why couldn't they at least HINT TO US THAT THEY WERE CANCELLING IT!?
We were all really sad, really angry, and really hurt. That was the worst performance ever. Our encore was cancelled just because there was no time. But the audience would enjoy Tjak! Tjak is really nice okay. And the audience surely wouldn't mind. But they didn't care about how much the song means to us, to the choir. The last chance for the Sec 4s, and they cancelled it.
They freaking cancelled it without telling us. Making us look like fools. They could have at least warned us, seen if we had gone into Tjak formation, instead of suddenly playing the freaking Jubilate Deo music. They should have thought about us. Why do they always have to think for themselves?
Everyone was really angry. And it makes me fume just thinking about it. It was the last time for the Sec4s to display their talents. And they. FREAKING. CANCELLED. IT.
Without thinking about us. Without thinking about how we would feel. Tjak means so much to us. And now our chance has flown away, due to "time restraint". Okay, whatever.
I felt like crying too. Everyone did. The seniors cried kinda hard. That's how much our encore meant to us.
