In all honesty
What I would rather hear someone say is "I would be happy for you if you get in, but if you don't, don't be too upset okay?" -good friend belindie :3
It's the truth that I won't certainly get in, it seems so easy for everyone to say oh you will confirm get it but deep down inside I know there is no definite answer and I am so scared when people say such things they expect and I don't want to appear a letdown. It's a 1 in 4 chance and I'm battling with the cream of the crop, which is what makes it most possibly the hardest examination in my entire life.
I did my best for NUS but SMU is a no go already. However NUS is extremely difficult to enter, and I don't think I stood out enough to be the top 25% of everyone who achieved 4As and above. The competition is so tough. Where am I going to stand? i have never been naturally gifted or especially intelligent and my lack of star factor will probably show clearly during the short interviews. Wish they were longer so they could get a better impression of me and how I think and how much I want this.
After all God had given me so so so so much in my life already, I have to say that I am really so so blessed. I can score well even though I study less or put in less effort than most. I have wonderful family and friends and someone who really changes my life, for good. I have gotten everything I wanted ; every second choice was still acceptable to me, like st nicks secondary instead of the coveted raffles secondary, or 5 A1s instead of 8. This time, though, I don't even feel like I will enjoy my second choice, which is why I am so afraid. God has always let me be content with which school I end up with.
But if I don't get into Law this time, I honestly truly wonder where I would go instead... And how I would be able to handle it. And whether I would be able to.
So ... I hope people don't expect me to get in, because interviews and essays are not a good enough measure. Noone can guess how well a person performs in front of others. I myself arent a very confident or vocal person, but I do have interest in studying this discipline
At least I did my best. I just worry that this time, the most crucial time in my life, that my best isnt good enough. And 75% chance that it isnt.
