Favourite childhood soft toy VS current new soft toy

Let's say I can only keep one.

My favourite childhood soft toy resurfaced today,
felt the strange ache of familiar comfort and warmth and safety,
something I had missed for a very, very long time

but it's always packed away, out of reach, so what do I do?
turn to my current soft toy,
which I'm afraid I might be growing more attached to/

I get the feeling that I need to make a decision which to keep,
because waiting just scares me

but I don't know what I'm supposed to do.

If only they were really just toys,
